Host a creative celebration with a party designed just for you! Share a date you have in mind, pick a theme that makes your child happy, and we’ll create a thoughtful art experience around it.

Our birthday parties are a quieter kind of celebration. In our calm, sensory-sensitive studio, children can enjoy their special day in a way that doesn’t feel overwhelming.

What’s Included, $525:

  • 1.5 hour party time

  • *Drop-Off parties for children celebrating:

    • 9th birthday and older: up to 12 participants, including the birthday child

    • 7th or 8th birthday: up to 10 participants, including the birthday child

    • 5th or 6th birthday: up to 8 participants, including the birthday child

  • A hands-on, age-appropriate art-making experience, led by a skilled teacher with a theme of your choice, designed to be open-ended so every child can express themselves in their own unique way.

  • Party Favors: each guest receives a Petite Art pouch with a mini sketchbook and a Petite Art coupon

    Guests are welcome to bring their own dessert and/or snacks to make the celebration even sweeter!

We can customize any of these Art Activities to match a theme of your child's choosing.

PARTY faqs

  • All parties at Petite Art Studio are drop-off parties. Parents are asked to drop their child off at the start of the party and return at the listed end time for pickup.

    Because our studio is quite petite and our hallway is shared with neighboring businesses, we are unable to accommodate parents staying during the celebration or gathering in the hallway. We kindly ask that only the parent of the birthday child stay during the party.

    While children are creating in the studio, parents are welcome to enjoy a little time in downtown Katonah with a coffee, a walk through the shops, or a visit to one of the local restaurants nearby.

  • Extra participants are $35 per guest. We’re happy to welcome additional friends beyond the listed maximum when needed. Our recommended group sizes are the sweet spot for a calm, cozy, and comfortable studio experience.

  • Please email Petite with your anticipated guest count during the week of your party so we can prepare supplies.

  • Yes. We ask that you share the waiver link with families so it can be completed for each child prior to the party. You can also remind parents at drop-off, and we’ll have a QR code available in the studio to make it simple to complete.

  • Absolutely! We set aside about 20 minutes at the end of each party for birthday cake or another sweet treat to celebrate.

    If your party falls around lunchtime or dinnertime, you’re welcome to serve pizza or another simple finger food.
    If ordering pizza, you can plan for it to arrive about 45 minutes before the end of the party so it has time to cool before serving.

    Make sure to bring water or juice boxes for your guests.
    Please note that alcoholic beverages are not permitted at children’s birthday celebrations.

  • Our space is cozy, so we encourage keeping decorations simple. A few balloons are a perfect way to add a festive touch!

  • Please plan to arrive no earlier than 10–15 minutes before your party start time to settle in and set up any items you’ve brought. Earlier arrival may overlap with another event or studio cleanup/reset time.

  • • Dessert (cake, cupcakes, or similar — no ice cream cakes)
    • Candles
    • Food, if serving lunch or dinner
    If ordering pizza, you can plan for it to arrive about 45 minutes before the end of the party
    • Water bottles and/or juice boxes
    • Paper plates and napkins

    Optional items to bring:
    • Simple decorations such as balloons
    • Additional goody bags (Petite provides a small notebook, pencil, eraser, and a coupon for future classes)

  • No payment is needed on the day of the party. After the celebration, we’ll send over a final invoice for the remaining balance, along with any additional guests or extra party time, if applicable.

  • While the group is creating their art, you’re free to do what you’d like! Some parents just sit back and relax, others even step out to grab a cup of coffee in town.
    Once the art activity is complete, you’ll jump in to help serve food, lead the singing of “Happy Birthday,” and enjoy celebrating your child. We’ll be there the entire time to assist with anything you need.
    We’ll take care of cleaning up the studio, and you can gather the gifts to bring out to your car.
