Hi! We’re Amanda and Julianne, the founding art teachers of Petite Art Studio!
We believe that every child is an artist and has a voice that should be heard and celebrated. By providing a calm and welcoming space, our goal is to help children find art inspiration in their own world and to encourage a lifelong love for art.

Miss Lacy
Mini Art Camps &
Glass Fusing Workshops
Petite Art Studio is lucky to have Miss Lacy—and her radiant warmth and kindness—on the teaching team. Miss Lacy has taught art for 16 years, beginning as an art teacher in Texas and later running her own studio in New York. Teaching rarely felt like work to her, more like sunshine, especially when she watched children apply new skills across real materials and create pieces that revealed who they are. In her art-forward Texas district, she trained in glass fusing, including how to teach it safely, and fell in love with the medium. Today, she shares that love with the community while guiding young artists in drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, and kiln-based processes. Her philosophy is simple: the studio should be a safe place to explore, imagine, and create without fear—because “good mistakes” often spark the very best ideas. You’ll find her leading the most fun mini art camps on school break days and offering special glass-fusing workshops. And if you’re lucky, you’ll get to meet her sweet daughter, Violet, who often joins as her assistant.
Miss Jenn
Preschool Art Enrichment
Miss Jenn is a lifelong maker who grew up drawing, sewing, sculpting, and arranging, She studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Vermont while taking studio art courses and joining the campus pottery studio. After becoming a certified teacher, she centered the arts in her classrooms, weaving open-ended, creative thinking through every subject. She taught for years in preschools across Vermont and New York City before moving to Katonah with her husband to grow their family. Most recently, she has served as an art specialist at a local camp, taught after-school art classes, and worked as a curriculum consultant. At Petite Art Studio, Jenn brings a warm, sensory-smart approach to our youngest artists—inviting curiosity, independence, and play. She’s excited to keep nurturing the future artists of the world here in Katonah.
Interested in sharing your skills with the Petite community? We’d love to hear from you.
