MLK Day of Service: Beaded Suncatcher
Middle and high school students are invited to spend Martin Luther King Jr. Day creating with purpose while earning volunteer hours.
What is the greater purpose of art?
Together, we will explore how art can move beyond personal expression and become a way to care for others—how something handmade can carry intention and meaning into spaces where it is truly needed.
In this service-based workshop, students will design and create beaded crystal suncatchers to be donated to children staying at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, bringing light and color into their rooms.
This workshop may be used toward volunteer/service hours. The program fee covers materials and instruction; students donate their time and artwork. Volunteer hours will be verified by Petite Art Studio.
